Ningbo Polytechnic, approved by the Ministry of Education of the People’s Republic of China, was founded in July, 1999.It undertakes full-time higher vocational and technical education, and is designated as a key exemplary vocational college by the Ministry of Education.
    Ningbo Polytechnic is situated in Ningbo Economy and Technology Development Zone, near? Beilun Seaport, now covering a space of 50 hectares of land, a total floor space of 200,000 square meters.? The college has departments such as Foreign Language Faculty, Commerce and Business Faculty, Technology Faculty, Information Faculty, and Elementary Faculty and so on. Up to now, over 8000 full-time three-year students, as well as more than 7000 adult students with or without record of formal schooling, have been enrolled in 34 majors for college level. At present, there are more than 450 full-time teachers, and some part-time teachers with teaching or other working experience, over 150 with the professional title of Research Fellow (Professor, Professor-level Senior Research Engineer) or Associate Research Fellow (Associate Professor or Associate-Professor-level Senior Research Engineer).
